Rajshri Productions has come up with a daily soap named “Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara”, which gets aired in Star Plus on weekdays. The story revolves around the concept of marriage, wherein the lead actor Adi does not believe in bonding, especially marriage. On the other hand, the lead actress Pankhuri has a very strong belief in the institution of marriage. This difference is basically because of different environment and culture they both come from. Adi stays in Mumbai and has seen his parents fighting and his relatives fighting for property whereas Pankhuri comes from a joint family from Kullu, where there is no place for any kind of hostility.

Adi comes for an alliance with Pankhuri but a lot of misunderstandings take place between them and their families and the alliance is called off. Somehow, Pankhuri enters Adi’s life again and finally they get married. Pankhuri is not accepted in the family at the beginning but she becomes a lovely Grand-daughter-in-law for the head of the family. She promises him that she will bring everyone close unite the family. After going through a lot of twists and turns, Pankhuri is finally able to make her place in the family and also unite the family.

In Parallel, a lot of dispute happens between Adi’s mother and Adi’s Uncle for property and all the business decisions are taken by Adi’s mother, Avantika. Avantika also has lots of issues with her sister Preeti. Pankhuri resolves all the family matters and also she and Adi fall in love with each other. When everything looks alright, Pankhuri falls off a cliff because of a landslide.

The serial has taken a leap of two years where Adi and family miss Pankhuri badly and Adi does not know what to do with his life. Meanwhile, Adi’s dad Harish meets Pankhuri’s lookalike and asks for her help to solve out the condition of his family. A chain of events leads to tying a knot between Adi and Pankhuri’s lookalike Ayesha.

The show is on the air, since June 18, 2012, and has won a few awards in Star Parivar Awards.

Salvi played the role of Avantika, Aditya's mother, in Star Plus's Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. She started her career on small screen with Zee TV's program Aashirwaad which led to the role of Khushi, one of the three protagonists, in Ekta Kapoor's Kohi Apna Sa. In 2005, she appeared in the serial Saarrthi in which she played a character named Manasvi Goenka. That same year she made her film debut in a Marathi production produced by Lata Narvekar and directed by Gajendra Ahire. Apart from various television shows , Salvi is seen in numerous ad films for various campaigns.

In 2005, Salvi married Hemant Prabhu, the director of the weekly drama Siddhant that aired on Star One. Prabhu also directed Salvi in the TV show Sati...Satya Ki Shakti.^[1]
