Tokai love rock serial number and origin Posted by alan16647 on Fri, - 18:43. Could someone help me identify where my Tokai love rock was made, I have checked the Tokai registry but can't find the prefix letters, the serial number is FC06199241 which identifies it being a 2006 model, but is it Japanese or Korean.

So I just purchased a used Tokai Love Rock (goldtop) from a seller in Japan as a gift for my boyfriend and I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether it is made in Japan or if it's made in Korea or China? I've been doing a lot of research to try and figure it out, but I honestly know nothing about guitars and I'm struggling figuring out all the terminology and so on.
From what I've read, normally the truss covers of Tokai made in Japan have 2 screws and the MIK ones have 3 screws, but apparently some of the MIK ones have 2 screws also? And then I read some stuff about the serial number on the back, that Korean ones usually either don't have a serial number or the number starts with a letter? But this one has a seven digit serial number. So because of all this, I was leaning towards it being MIJ, but I read that there's usually a Made In Japan stamp on the guitars somewhere if that's the case, and I can't seem to find any. There was also some tips about checking under the pickups to see, but seeing as I really don't know anything about guitars I didn't want to screw it up before I gave it to him.
So yeah, I was hoping someone here might have an idea about serial numbers or Tokais or could give me any information about it. I'll post pictures in a link in the comments. Thanks!
